Yoga found me in 2015. The timing was right for me to start becoming myself after years of alcoholism and co dependency. 'Mommy needs her wine' just wasn’t cutting it. I was lost on the inside. I did everything for everyone else but cried if the forks weren’t put away right?!
The first Teacher training started the process of blowing the doors to my bullshit cave off. Crawling out snot crying the dead parts of me were coming back to life. It’s a journey, it’s a practice and if you do the work it is magic.
Slowly over the next two years I found my voice, I accepted responsibility for my life and quit drinking. AA helped, but YOGA helped more. Living cleaner gave me the clarity for my next brave move.. I left a marriage. No one tells you it will be easy but it truly was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It’s been over a year and I finally feel whole. I feel complete and I feel home. Through it all my busted up old B-mat has been there.
For me OWN YOUR LIGHT is the perfect combination of words to capture the yoga journey. Do the work. I will be there for you.
