I grew up in a small town in Northern Alberta and experienced that important sense of belonging to a community. I believe that Yoga is a community full of connections. My home is in Red Deer and I live here with my husband and my daughter when she’s home from University. I love that it’s so close to so many great places. When I’m not working you’ll find me hitting the nature trails. Heading to the mountains for some hiking, skiing, or snow shoeing depending on the season. I enjoy being near the water, whether it’s a river, lake or an ocean I’m out exploring it all. I’m either collecting rocks, getting on a paddle board, swimming or scuba diving, I love it all.
I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Shift Power Yoga Institute in January 2020. I started practicing yoga as a means of healing. I fell in love with Mel’s classes in the hot studio. I was drawn to the Baptiste style of power yoga and was craving it more and more. I pursued becoming a yoga teacher to be a part of something meaningful. Having the opportunity to be of service to others brings me more purpose, fills my heart with love, joy and connection. My yoga journey has transformed my life and I’m excited to share this with all of you.
What I love about yoga is that it’s for each and every person. It’s amazing to witness each individuals’ growth, their strength, their expression shine though in it’s own unique way. What owning your light means to me is that the real, authentic you, can shine through in your own greatness. It’s your inner joy that expands out, that special part of you that the world wants to see. My dream as a yoga teacher is to shine my light with you and inspire your inner light to shine through on and off the mat.
